For the protection of the IUD user and for ensuring the declared product performance, the council of the European Economic Community requires in Appendix II of the Directive 93/42/EEC from 14. June 1993 for medical products the use of an approved quality assurance system for the design, construction and end control. All IUPs marketed by Tomed and manufactured by EUROGINE conform to these guidelines. They carry the CE conformity mark for medical products of class III.
